Things I Wish I Had Said*

{ *but I’m glad someone did!}

“Have you ever sat on a balcony and seen a beautiful view, and then sat there for another ten years and stopped noticing it?”

Anonymous

This has stuck with me for years.  It truly reminds me to appreciate beauty when I see it.

“Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,

God will shine forth.”

Psalm 50:2

~

“Your kindness will be remembered much longer than your brilliance.”

Anonymous

On which are you concentrating more?

“be kind to one another, tenderhearted,

forgiving one another,

even as God in Christ forgave you.”

Ephesians 4:32

~

“One lit candle gives more light than a thousand matches still in the box.”

Anonymous

Do your part.

“If we walk in the light as He is in the light,

we have fellowship with one another”

1 John 1:7

~

“Fear of the Lord means to look up in awe, and look out for judgement.”

Anonymous

Love that.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge”

Proverbs 1:7

~

“It takes three positives to counteract one negative.”

Anonymous

Maybe more.

“Therefore let us pursue the things

by which one may edify another.”

Romans 14:19

~

“Our private praying determines the quality of our public praying.”

Anonymous

All sincere prayer is valued by God.  But I know a lot of people who are afraid to pray in public.  I wonder if they’re comfortable in their private prayer life?

“Therefore Your servant has found it in his heart

to pray this prayer to You.”

2 Samuel 7:27

~

“In prayer, it is better to have a heart without words, than words without a heart.”

Anonymous

See?  That’s all that matters.

“Now when He had taken the scroll,

the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders

fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp,

and golden bowls of incense,

which are the prayers of the saints.”

Revelation 5:8
