Nature and Pancakes. And a lotta bacon.

Well I was planning on talking some more about “It Is Well With My Soul” today, but I should have known better.  It’s Monday, after all.

I got a lot done today, schoolwise… got a good start to the week.  But I had volunteered to make dinner for the high school Bible study tonight ~ #breakfast for dinner! ~ and that took a lot longer than I thought.  I’m glad I started early.  And I’m glad my kids were both so helpful.  I’ve never cooked so much bacon in my life…

So I didn’t get a chance to finish writing all that I’ve been thinking about Horatio Spofford’s masterpiece.   I’ll plan that for tomorrow.  So for today, I’ll leave you with some beautiful pictures, and my favorite Scripture verses about pancakes.

Lovely, eh?  And after doing a little research, it turns out there isn’t much in the way of pancake Scriptures.  I can offer you Hosea 7:8 ~ “Ephraim is a cake not turned.”

But even better is John 21, so I’ll leave you with that…

~ “Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land,

full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three;

and although there were so many,

the net was not broken.

Jesus said to them, ‘Come and eat breakfast.’ ”  ~

John 21:11-12
