Psalm 23:6

I was reading the 23rd Psalm the other day, when six words jumped out at me in a new way:  “All the days of my life”.  I started thinking about how God never changes… how Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever, and how wonderfully applicable that truth is.  “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me…”  Does it get any more beautiful than that?  And yet, whatever is true ~ everything ~ when the Word was written, is true now, will be true all the days of my life.  So I collected some of my favorites of these beautiful truths.  Here are a few…

 

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  All the days of my life.

 

He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.  All the days of my life.

 

He restores my soul.  He leads me in the paths of righteousness.  All the days of my life.

 

You have put gladness in my heart, all the days of my life.

 

The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer, all the days of my life.

 

I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.  All the days of my life.

 

I will be glad and rejoice in You, all the days of my life.

 

In the Lord I put my trust.  All the days of my life.

 

The Lord is righteous, He loves justice.  All the days of my life.

 

I trust in Your unfailing love, all the days of my life.

 

Apart from You, Lord, I have no good thing, all the days of my life.

 

Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.  All the days of my life.

 

You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in Your presence, all the days of my life.

 

I will call on You, O God, for You will answer me, all the days of my life.

 

Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings, all the days of my life.

 

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock in whom I take refuge.  He is my shield and the horn of my salvation.  All the days of my life.
